Religious Education:

During our RE lessons this term we will be learning about:

English:

In our English lessons this term we will be learning about:

  • Descriptive writing 
  • Story Writing
  • Recounts
  • Letter Writing
  • Descriptions focuing on sentence structure

Maths:

In our Maths lessons this term we will be learning about:

  • Place Value

  • Addition and Subtraction

  • Multiplication and Division 

  • Measure - time, length and weight

Science:

In our Science lessons this term we will be learning about:

  • Our bodies
  • Our senses

Topic:

Our topic for the Summer Term is 'Traditions of Tales and Towns.' Throughout this topic we will be learning:

  • Locational knowledge - To use simple fieldwork and observational skills to study the geography of their school.
  • To understand significant historical events, people and places in their own locality. 
  • To use technology safely and respectfully, keeping personal information private; identify where to go for help and support when they have concerns about materials on the internet or other online technologies. 
  • To use a range of materials creatively to design and make products. 
  • To generate, develop, model and communicate their ideas through talking, drawing and templates.
  • To use drawing and painting to develop and shre their ideas, experiences and imagination. 
  • To explore and evaluate their own ideas. 
  • To select from and use a range of tools and equipment to perform practical tasks
  • To use their voices expressively and creatively by singing songs and speaking chants and rhymes.
  •  To master basic movements including running, jumping, throwing and catching, as well as deeveloping balance, agility and co-ordination, and begin to apply these in a range of activities.
